Fertilizing with the double disc principle has the advantage that the manure is perfectly inserted into the soil. Volatilization of the nutrients in the manure is thereby reduced to a minimum. The result is optimal utilization of the manure by the grass. It goes without saying that better utilization of the fertilizer by the grass increases the yield. The wear of the machine is a tricky point with fertilizers with two discs per outlet. We have paid extra attention to this in the new construction and have found a solution in the form of fusee suspension. You can read more about it under the heading ''steering element'', down here.
The injector is available in working widths from 5.80 to 12.30 meters. Do you have specific wishes? We like to think along with you.
The Twin injector ensures that the sod is not damaged, because it is cut open and lifted slightly. While the turf is open the manure is injected, the scrapers ensure that the soil is slightly compacted again.
With this well thought out construction, the sod is not damaged and the manure reaches the roots exactly, without volatilizing.
The main solution Duport has found to the wear problem of dual-disc fertilizer elements is the fusee suspension. The complete element can move not only up and down, but also back and forth. As a result, there is no stress on the discs, bearings and seals when cornering. Because of that, the wear of all these parts is significantly reduced. Less wear means longer life and lower maintenance costs.
The sophisticated automatic grease lubrication and spring pressure regulation also ensure smooth running with the machine under all conditions.
For a good cross distribution of the manure over the working width, Duport assembles a high quality distributor of its own design / construction. This distributor excels in good cross distribution and is equipped with a unique system so that manure can never get into the hydraulic oil. Because the manure flows through the rotor instead of directly into the distributor, a dosage of 8 to 80 m3/ha can be spread continuously. Due to the centrifugal force of the rotor, each outlet receives the same amount of manure.
In addition, two seals are fitted as standard to protect the hydraulic motor of the distributor. If these seals were to wear out or break down, slurry would normally get into the hydraulic oil. Duport prevents this by fitting a deflector plate / hub. This makes the manure run outside instead of into the hydraulic oil. This also makes it easy to recognise when the seals needs to be replaced.

In 2018, Duport created a new, impressive Duport pump tanker in collaboration with Loonbedrijf Gebroeders Westera: the Bigfoot. Behind the Bigfoot runs the Duport All Track Twin fertilizer. Which was purchased in the same year.
'' During the development phase we were often allowed to watch and think along. The new Bigfoot pump tanker has become a beautiful piece of technology. The cooperation with Duport is very pleasant. Also with the adjustment of the pump truck, the slurry injector and the control system. In the beginning it takes some time getting used to working with the new combination. Now we have everything under control and we know we can always rely on Duport when we have any questions. In short, we are very satisfied.
